After first setting foot on a sail boat in 1999 Che suddenly realized he doesn’t belong on land.
Making up for lost time he enrolled continuously in sailing courses with The Humber College sailing Center, and worked to find crewing opportunities aboard any boat that would take him. With the encouragement Humber’s director Scott Hughes he signed on as an instructor and found teaching sailing was a way to continue learning, and gain valuable time on the water.
Looking back from today his sailing resume includes Cross Atlantic Deliveries, Caribbean Island hoping, Coastal and Great lakes Cruising, as well as extensive big boat racing on a variety of designs.
Che holds the Boating Ontario Certified Professional designation.
