Where do we start?Buying a yacht is a very personal experience. The feeling of excitement that comes with getting everything you want in a boat can be addictive, or that's how it should feel. As my wife and I were in the middle of buying our new Jeanneau 54DS in late 2008 Angus Yachts went bankrupt, our large deposit was lost and the title of our old Beneteau 393 was also in question. Allan Mestel our sales rep at Angus Yachts stepped up to the plate during this trying time helping us negotiate a new sales agreement with Jeanneau and also helped finish selling our Beneteau. Allan had not only lost his job in the process but had also lost his commission that he would have received from Angus Yachts. After 2 weeks of reworking our contract with Jeanneau we were able to save the deal and just last month our new boat arrived from France and we are anxiously awaiting an early spring launch. As it turns out we ended up a little ahead in the end thanks to Allan. I am very pleased that, in a round about way, our new Jeanneau 54DS was True North Yachts first new boat sale and selling our Beneteau 393 was their first used boat sale. I simply can't say enough about Allan's character. We really don't have any doubt that had we been dealing with anyone else the end result would not have been nearly as good. Both Lori and I wish Allan and his staff at True North Yachts all the success we know they have coming. Regards, Terry & Lori Vaudry |
